What Makes a Relationship Ascended

Most relationships in the world are not really relationships. They are coping mechanisms, agreements about who gets to feel safe, transactional balances kept on a ledger neither person admits to running. They work for a while. They cost more energy than they generate. Eventually they fail, or they freeze, or they survive on the fumes of what they once were.

An ascended relationship is something different. It is not a relationship without difficulty — it is a relationship without rot. The difficulty becomes the texture; the rot stops being possible because the structure underneath cannot hold it. Two (or more) people meeting each other from wholeness, with the work done, in a configuration that compounds rather than depletes.
